Boon's Bookcase is 2 today!!
Today is my 2nd Blogaversary and I am delighted to host the Blog Tour for A Deadly Thaw by Sarah Ward. I have met the author a couple of times and read both of her books and not only is she lovely, but she writes cracking novels!
To celebrate my Blogaversary and the publication of A Deadly Thaw, I have a paperback copy for you to win in a giveaway (UK only, sorry!). I might even throw in some other goodies for you!!
I just want to say a huge thank you to all the lovely authors, publishers and bloggers I have met over the past 2 years for their endless re-tweets, advice, humour and above all, friendship. I couldn't have got where I am with Boon's Bookcase today without you all. But above all, I have to say a special thank you to my friend Julie Williams, who guest reviews on my blog. She not only reads twice as quickly as me, but she helps me out at such short notice and I am truly grateful!
Anyway, without further ado, please find my review for A Deadly Thaw....

The Police team are back in this second DC Childs mystery.
Lena is released from prison after serving time for murdering her husband in their bed, but when a body is found at a local disused morgue and is identified as Lena's husband Andrew, the hunt is on to find out who was the man who died in Lena's bed.
Inspector Sadler and his team are sent to find out why the body found in Lena's bed was misidentified and the only person who can given them the answers is Lena and she has disappeared...
Lena's sister Kat is also trying desperately to find her sister as she also wants to know what happened all those years ago, but is also worried in case someone is out to get Lena. Kat is even more worried when a teenage hoodie keeps turning up and giving her "presents". Are they clues from Lena as to what happened all those years ago, or is someone trying to play with Kat's mind?
DC Connie Childs and DS Damien Palmer are put on the case to not only try and find Lena but to clear up the mess of a bungled investigation where the wrong body was identified.
This is a brilliant story and I really can't wait for the next one! It is part of a series, but can be read as a stand alone. A thoroughly believable story line and I couldn't put it down! Well done to the author for a fabulous second novel and I can't wait for the next one!
